WINDERMERE PREPARATORY SCHOOL: 2019 Spelling Bee Finalists

Windermere Preparatory School issued the following announcement on Jan. 18.

Mastering words like juxtapose, obsidian and insipid, our 2019 Spelling Bee Finalists were impressive. We crowned 8th grader Maia Munoz as this year's champion who, along with runner-up Andrea Matos Devesa, will go on to represent WPS at the Orange County Private School Spelling Bee next month.

Congratulations to all of our spellers this year, including 3rd grader Suvir Aylawadi, 4th grader Avni Patil, 6th graders: Lucca Beltrame, Gloria High, Camila Pichardo, Saumya Rao, Haadi Shoaib, Paris Rahbarian, and Aliyah Baksh; 7th graders: Brooke Demko, Tristan Kidwell, John Rafferty, Fatimah Choudhury, Lucca Chrysostomou, and Nicholas Steyn; 8th graders: Parnika Chintapalli, JT Rattigan, Andrea Matos Devesa, Sabah Irfan, Jay Khemchandani, Emily Allen, and Maia Munoz
